We took Maddy to the park today because we had a beautiful day (in the high 70s). She went in the swings and had a great time. We can't wait until she's bigger and can run around and play with the other kids!

Maddy started taking swim lessons last week at the YMCA. The first week was just Mommy and Maddy but this week Daddy came and took a bunch of photos. Swim lessons consist mostly of singing songs and playing in the water with about 10 other babies and their parents. Teacher Liz works closely with the babies and gets them comfortable with the water to the point that they can go under water. Maddy "swam" under water this week and did great (no choking or crying)! Here are some photos of our lessons :)

Maddy loves taking a bath. It's probably her favorite time of day and she spends 15-20 minutes in the tub each evening. She can now sit up in the tub which she loves because it's so much easier to grab her toys. I did a comparison of a picture of her first bath, a picture from when she was 3 months old and a picture from today. She's changed SO much!
Maddy had her 6 month check-up today. She had to get 3 shots but did GREAT! Only a little crying and no tears. She's doing well overall and we got some good advice about sleeping (hopefully she'll get on track soon and we can all start getting more zzzzz's). She's still measuring really well although she's slowed down a little. She weighed 15lbs 1oz (31st percentile) and measured 26 inches (58th percentile). The pediatrician said we can start adding meat, yogurt and eggs to her diet so we're looking forward to some new recipes. More pictures to come soon!

Maddy and I went to Oregon for Easter to spend time with the Draper Family. Overall it was a good trip except that Maddy had the flu right before we went and ended up spreading it to the ENTIRE family by the time we came home. So needless to say, we may not be invited back anytime soon :) Here are some pictures of the "good times."
