Oregon Ducks

Maddy wore her Oregon Ducks cheer leading outfit today to cheer on the Ducks vs. Stanford. So far it's moderately working. Hopefully the second half is better :)

Park

Monday was Veteran's Day so Mommy and Maddy went to the park in the afternoon to enjoy Mom's day off from work. Maddy was not super into the park and the playground equipment was apparently very scary. Oh well, better luck next time. Here are a few shots where she was moderately content.

Helping Out Around the House

Maddy likes to do pretty much anything that we're doing. Her new favorite thing is to help us vacuum. Usually that means chasing us around as we push the vacuum and hoping we'll put it down so she can have a turn. She finally got her shot with the sweeper vacuum and had a blast. We can't wait until she's big enough to actually vacuum and then hope that she still thinks its fun :)

Happy Halloween!

Maddy dressed up in a Halloween outfit for daycare today and then when she got home she wore her elephant costume to help us hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters. She was relatively indifferent to the costume but tolerated it enough to take some cute photos. Happy Halloween!

1 Year Check-Up

Maddy had her 1 year check-up today. She weighed 20lbs 13oz (44th percentile) and measured 30 inches (77th percentile). The doctor said she was doing great developmentally and was very impressed with how well she was walking. She unfortunately got 6 shots which she was not a fan of. Luckily with a little Tylenol and some distraction at daycare she was good to go.

1st Birthday Party

Maddy's first birthday party was this past weekend. We had so many family members and friends join us for Maddy's big day. Maddy had a great time playing with all the other kids and especially eating her cake and opening presents.

Mom & Dad in Vegas

Ted and I went to Las Vegas earlier this month for a much needed vacation. Grandma Kim and Grandpa Larry came up and stayed with Maddy which was much appreciated. They enjoyed their time with Maddy, even though she kept them on their toes. They had some time to get out and about in the NW and even made it to Pike Place Market. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
